Kohav Gal, mezzo-soprano
Gal Kohav, mezzo soprano, was born in Israel. Her repertoire includes the title role in Amadigi (Handel), Ramiro in La finta Giardiniera (Mozart), Constance Fletcher in The Mother of US All (Thomson), Opera Box Ghost in The Ghosts of Versailles (Corigliano), the Dog in The Cunning Little Vixen (Janacek), Julek in Lost Childhood (Janice Hammer), the title role in Juana (Carla Lucero), Satan in Akeidah (Michal Klein) and others. She won the Eva and Mark Stern Scholarship as well as several singing competitions in the USA. Gal Kohav was a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire included Mother Goose in The Rake’s Progress (Stravinsky), Hansel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Second Lady in Die Zauberflote (Mozart) and other roles. At the Israeli Opera she performed Rosina in the family production of Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) and Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Puccini).
