Kareth Yael, pianist
Yael Kareth, pianist, was born in Israel. She is the Head of Music at the Israeli Opera, where she also works as a corepetiteur, music director of various projects, lecturer and content writer and takes part in the Opera's vast educational activities. Kareth studied in Berlin with Daniel Barenboim where she performed as a soloist with West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and also worked at the Berlin Staatsoper and at the opera and theatre department of the Universitaat Der Kunst. Kareth is a founding member of the Israeli Chamber Project. As a Lied pianist she has performed with Thomas Hampson at the Salzburg Festival, with Rinat Shaham in Berlin and with Waltraud Meier at the Louvre Museum in Paris. As a chamber musician Kareth has participated in many chamber music festivals, including those of Ravinia, Jerusalem, Aspen and others. As a soloist she has performed with the Tel Aviv Soloist Ensemble, the Israel Camerata, the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Orchestra and others.
