Elchin Azizov, baritone, was born in Azerbaijan. His repertoire includes Escamillo in Carmen (Bizet), Rodrigo in Don Carlo, the title role in Macbeth, Iago in Otello, Amonasro in Aida, Renato in Un ballo in maschera (Verdi), Tomsky in Pique Dam (Tchaikovsky), the title role in Prince Igor (Borodin), Scarpia in Tosca, Lescaut in Manon Lescaut (Puccini), the High Priest of Dagon and Abimelech in Samson et Dalila (Saint-Saens), Gerard in Andrea Chenier (Giordano), Gryaznoy in The Tsar’s Bride (Rimsky-Korsakov) and others. He performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera in New York and in the opera houses of Moscow, Madrid, Santiago de Chile, Budapest, Rome, Vienna and others.
