Grubner Pnini Leon, bass
Pnini Leon Grubner, bass, was born in Israel. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music, London and from the Mannes College of Music, New York. His operatic repertoire includes Colline in La boheme, Betto in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Verdi), Figaro and Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro, Leporello in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Sydney in Il viaggio a Reims (Rossini), Immigration Officer in Flight (Dove) and other roles. He performed in opera productions in New York, Oslo and Salzburg. He received the AICF, IVAI, Professor Carol Alexander, the Harbour Family, Bercovici and the Eli Leon scholarships. Pnini Leon Grubner was a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where his repertoire included Alidoro in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Publio in La clemenza di Tito, Nardo in La finta giardiniera (Mozart), Rodolfo in La sonnambula (Bellini), Don Guillermo in The Pirates (Storace) and others.
