Skorka Daniela, Soprano
Daniela Skorka, soprano, was born in Israel. She was a member of The Israeli Opera’s Meitar Opera Studio where her wide repertoire included Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Despina in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Belinda in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell) and other roles. Her operatic repertoire also includes Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Phenice in Armide (Lully), Diane in Acteon (Charpentier), Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck), Eurydice in Orpheus (Telemann), Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Monica in The Medium (Menotti) and Rivka, Rachel and Bilha in Mothers (David Sebba). She performed as soloist with most Israeli orchestras and ensemble including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra as well as abroad with Les Arts Florissants conducted by William Christie and Les Talens Lyriques conducted by Christophe Rousset. She is a recipient of the AICF, the Ronen Foundation, the IVAI and the Berkovici scholarship. She performs regularly in numerous Israeli Opera concerts and productions.
