Hershkovitz Magar Shiri, soprano
Shiri Hershkovitz Magar was born in Israel. She graduated from the Boston Conservatory of Music. During her studies she performed Ivette in La rondine (Puccini), Atalanta in Xerxes (Handel), the Second Witch in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) and other roles. She performed as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and others and received the IVAI, Bercovici, Basser and Eli Leon scholarships. Shiri Hershkovitz was a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire included Sandman and Dew Fairy in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Pamina in Die Zauberflote, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Sophie in Werther (Massenet), Lucy in The Telephone (Menotti), Second Witch in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell) and other roles. She has performed the role of Violetta in La traviata (Verdi) in Fidenza, Italy.
