Eike Ecker is head of the scenic department at the Cologne Opera and lecturer at the Cologne University. She has been an opera assistant director since 2001 and artistic director of the Cologne Children& Opera from 2007 to 2009 with numerous award-winning productions such as Britten's Little Sweep and The Little Magic Flute. She has directed revivals at Teatro La Fenice, Gran Teatre del Liceu, National Grand Theatre Shanghai and Teatro Real Madrid. During the pandemic, her innovative film format Solo Turandot was praised by German theatre critics. This is her first work at the Israeli Opera.
