Paul Curievici, tenor, was born in England. His repertoire includes the title role in Candide (Bernstein), Elemer in Arabella, First and Second Jew in Salome (R. Strauss), Raul in The Exterminating Angel (Ades), Mortimer in Lessons in Love and Violence (Benjamin), Flute in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), Zinoviy in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Shostakovich), High Priest of Amon in Akhnaten (Glass), Nick in The Handmaid’s Tale (Ruders), Steva in Jenufa (Janacek), Melot in Tristan und Isolde (Wagner), Pirelli in Sweeney Todd (Sondheim) and others. He performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and in the opera houses of Berlin, Copenhagen, Wiesbaden, Zurich, Montpellier, Oslo, Martina Franca and others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
