Miguel del Arco, director, was born in Spain. He is a writer and director of theatre, film, television and opera. His theatre credits include his own versions of Hamlet, The Misanthrope, Summerfolk, The Play to be Played (Six Characters in Search of an Author), Richard III, Of Mice and Man, An Enemy of the People, Antigone, From Federico to Lorca as well several plays which has written and directed. He has written and directed three short films: The Envy of the Japanese Army, Palos de ciego amor and To Die, to Sleep, to Dream for which he has won more than 50 awards at various film festivals. His opera credits include The Rape of Lucretia (Britten), Fuenteovejuna (Jorge Muniz) and others. He has worked extensively in Spain and his works have received numerous awards.
