Was born in Lithuania. In the last 18 years with the company he performed more than 50 roles including Mephistopheles in Faust (Gounod), Colline in La boheme (Puccini), Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Pimen and Varlaam in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky) and Gremin in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky). He also performed in Finland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, the Ukraine, Belarus and Poland.
