Was born in Israel. He has revived the production of Tosca (Puccini) at the Washington National Opera, and has directed Giulio Cesare (Handel), The Mother of Us all (Thomson), Rigoletto (Verdi), Die Zauberflöte, Don Giovanni (Mozart), La Cenerentola (Rossini), Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdink) and others, at the Palais Garnier, Pennsylvania Opera Theatre, the YAP at Washington National Opera and the Buchman-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv.
