Yuri Ustinov, set designer, was born in Russia. He has designed sets for numerous theatre, cinema and opera productions.

He has designed for the Bolshoi in Moscow, the opera houses of Perm, Voronezh, Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg) and many others as well as for theatre companies including the Central Children Theatre in Moscow. He also participates in numerous exhibitions in Moscow and other cities in Russia.

This is his first work presented at the Israeli Opera.
