Vittorio Borrelli was born in Italy. He has worked for many years at the Teatro region in Turin where he was an assistant director and a director. He has directed himself many opera productions including L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti), La boheme, Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky), The Mano Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat (Michael Nyman), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), L’Italiana in Algeri (Rossini), Eine florentinische Tragodie (Zemlinsky), Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck) and others.
