Was born in Italy. He has been resident conductor of the Finnish National Opera. He conducted, among others, Otello, Falstaff,  Luisa Miller (Verdi), Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Carmen (Bizet), Manon Lescaut (Puccini) and Orphée aux Enfers (Offenbach) at the opera houses of Vienna, Berlin, St.Petersburg, Bern and several opera houses in Finland.
