Was born in New Zealand. Her wide repertoire includes Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), the title role in Iphigénie en Tauride (Gluck), Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Lucretia in The Rape of Lucretia (Britten), the title role in Teseo (Handel), Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Andronico in Tamerlano (Handel), the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Oberto in Alcina (Handel), Nicklausse/The Muse in Les Contes des Hoffmann (Offenbach), Popova in The Bear (Walton), Tisbe in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Flosshilde in Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), Siegrune in Die Walkure (Wagner), Olga in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and others. She sang in the world première of Maxwell Davies’s Caroline Mathilde Ballet Suite No. 2 and in Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Twice through the Heart. She performs regularly at the Royal Opera at Covent Garden, La Monnaie in Brussels, Amsterdam, Stuttgart, New Zealand, Munich, San Francisco, Madrid, Philadelphia, Australia, Bayreuth and others.
