Moran Youth Choir

The Moran Choir was established in 1986 in Beit Yitzhak village in Hefer Valley, by Naomi Faran. Throughout its years of activity, the choir achieved exceptional musical and educational accomplishments and professional recognition. The choir has won gold medals in competitions, participated in international festivals, performed with leading orchestras, and performed original works by Israel’s top composers. One of the choir’s primary goals is to embed singing culture in the Israeli public, particularly among the younger generation. Over the years, Moran Choir expanded to four ensembles of different age groups. The four choirs combine excellence in singing with diverse community activities, working with children and youth at risk, youth with special needs, children with cancer at Schneider Hospital, and girls from the Ethiopian community. The choir has performed at The Israeli Opera in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), Carmen (Bizet), Tosca, Turandot (Puccini), and Wozzeck (Berg).
