Gleb Filshtinsky, lighting designer, was born in Russia. He has been the cheif lighting designer of many theatre companies in Russia and is currently lighting designer at the Maly Drama Theatre – Theatre of Europe and head of the Light for Theatre St Petersburg Creative Workshop. He has designed lighting for numerous shows, firework displays, and large public celebrations as well as over 300 musical and dramatic productions in Russia and abroad including in La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, the Berlin Staatsoper, the Vienna Staatsoper adnd many others. This is his first work at the Israeli Opera.
